Senior High School


The Senior High School Curricular Program of Saint Michael College of Hindang Leyte Inc. (SMCHLI) is anchored both on the national goals and imperatives set by the government especially through Republic Act 10533 known as the Enhanced Basic Education Act of 2013 and the school's vision, mission and thrust. The design of the program basically addresses the requisites set by the Department of Education and the Commission on Higher Education while considering the needs, talents, skills of the Michaelian students. In order to meet its objectives, all stakeholders are expected to perform their respective duties and responsibilities and be guided by the following values and guidelines for the implementation of the specific offerings of the program.

Specifically, the Senior High School Department aims to:

  1. Prepare Michaelian students for higher education

    The SHS program shall make certain that its graduates secure quality education where they have masterfully acquired all the necessary knowledge and skills needed for higher education. The program guarantees not only readiness but also eligibility for admission to the best colleges and universities.

  2. Ensure the integral formation of Michaelian students

    Cognizant of the 21st-century learners' needs, SMCHLI sees to it that students are holistically developed as academic achievers, committed Catholics and servant-leaders.

Saint Michael College of Hindang Leyte Inc. currently offers the following Tracks and Strands:


A. Accountancy, Business and Management (ABM)

Designed for students who are inclined to take business-related courses in post-secondary education. ABM strand allows SMCHLI students to engage in subject areas that discuss basic principles of the various business areas such as entrepreneurship, marketing, finance and accounting and information and technology.

B. Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS)

Designed to effectively prepare students who are inclined to pursue post-secondary degrees in social sciences and education. HUMSS strand allows SMCHLI students to engage in subject areas relating to the study of human behavior and interaction in social, cultural, environmental, economic and political contexts.
